It is the acronym Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE), It is an Approved, Proven & Certified Advanced level programme moderated by Ahmadu Bello University and
Having coordinating body in various tertiary institutions and different affiliated study centres nationwide. The programme is specifically designed to provide an opportunity for candidates/ students who cannot gain admission to regular degree programmes in Nigerian Universities for one reason or the other, as the programme only requires candidates O'level Results, also awaiting result candidates can Enroll.
Is It Only ABU, ZARIA That Offers The Programme?
No, its not onlyABU ZARIA that offers the programme, as a matter of fact about virtually every Nigerian universities accept IJMBE result for admission into 200 level. IJMBE
have affiliated universities and accredited study centres all over Nigeria and they are approved and certified to run the programme and
register student for examination usually by February every year.
Is It Only The State where I Did programme that I Can Use The Result?
No, you can use the result anywhere you want.
For instance, if you did your programme at Lagos, state, you can decide to use your result to gain admission into University of Ilorin. You can do your programme in FCT,Abuja centre and decide to use it to gain admission at Delta State University (Delsu). In a nutshell, the place where you are posted to undergo your IJMBE programme doesn't determine the university you must go.
How Can I use IJMBE To Gain Admission Into University Of My Choice?
Once you are through with the programme, you will only need to combine the IJMBE result with Direct Entry form to process 200 Level admission into your desired institution. You will be updated when Direct Entry form is out.
What Is The Duration Of IJMBE?
PROGRAMME DURATION:
IJMBE A'level programme runs for a maximum period of one academic session (7-9month) divided in two (2) semesters. At the end of each semester, students would write Continuous assessment test before their final examination usually in February
PROGRAMME ELIGIBILITY:
The programme is open to all interested candidates nationwide and any course can be offered be it Science, Art or Social Science

Is IJMBE Real and Certified?
Yes, IJMBE is no news again to various Nigerian universities, as it serve as a means of securing university admission into 200level.
Approved: By the Federal Government has a platform for securing admission into higher institution in the country and abroad.
Proven: Yearly, about 20,000 applicants put in for the programme in which more than 75% fraction successfully secure admission with it into 200 level to their preferred institution & course of study.
Certified: By Nigeria University Commission (NUC) has an Advanced level examination that qualify students into 200level via Direct Entry. Are there limitation to the course i can study with my IJMBE result/certificate?
NO, IJMBE result qualifies students to study any of their desired courses in the university be it Science, Social science or Art courses.
How Can I register for IJMBE?
Registration for the current academic session has commenced and closes soon. The registration for IJMBE should be done online on this website with an application fee of #5,500 which is to be paid using your ATM Card (online payment).

Card Number — A 16 digits number at the front of your card
Card Expiry date — Date the Card you want to use to pay will expire, just the month and year are required, check at the front of the Card.
Cvv or Cvv2 —– This is a 3 digit number written at the back of your ATM card
Where are your study centres located?
Kindly be informed that all our study centres are mostly located in the states capitals nationwide, Thus, the specific name and address of the study centres would be known during candidates online registration, owing to the fact that candidates are expected to choose a centre of his/her choice based on the centres that are still available (i.e not yet filled up) at the time of their registration. Therefore, it is advisable for prospective candidates to register in time, in order to meet up with their desired study centre. Thereafter the online registration, the name and detailed address of the candidates chosen study centres will be sent to the candidates email address. Hence candidates
are expected to proceed to his/her chosen study centre for clearance and
resumption.
